General

Linda Vista is a private Catholic co-educational school for children in preschool (age 3) through grade 8.   We offer a Montessori preschool and Kindergarten program.  The Montessori method is gradually phased out during first grade.  In grades 2 - 8, we provide a more traditionally based education.

School Hours

Normal school hours are 8:15 am - 3:15 pm.   Pre-Kindergarten hours are 8:15 am - 11:15 am or 12:00 pm - 3:15 pm.

Before-school care  (7:00am - 8:00am) is available at no cost. 
After-school care (3:30 pm - 6:00 pm) is available at no cost.  There will be a $20.00 late charge for any child picked up after 6:00 pm plus $1 per minute after 6:05 pm.  The cell number for the after-school care program is 636-222-0076.

Students attend at least 174 days per year, with breaks for major holidays.  See the School Calendar for more information.

Students from Linda Vista attended the following schools after graduation from Linda Vista (cumlative data from the1999-2007 graduating classes).  Linda Vista graduates are recognized in the St. Louis area as being especially well-prepared  for high school and the great majority are accepted into the high school of their choice.

The 2006 - 2007 enrollment was 160 students.  There are approximately 12-20 children per class.
Location

Linda Vista is located at a new location starting in the 2007-2008 school year.  The new campus is located at 930 Kehrs Mill Road at the intersection of Kehrs Mill and Clayton. The school is approximately 5 minutes from Chesterfield Mall and the Chesterfield Valley and 5 minutes from Manchester Road. 

Driving Directions

From I-64/US-40 and St. Charles:  Take Exit 19B toward MO-340/Olive Blvd/Clarkson Rd. and turn right onto Clarkson Rd. for 2.5 miles.  Turn LEFT on Kehrs Mill Rd. for 1.5 miles to the school on the right.


From Manchester Road and Clarkson:  Take Clarkson Rd. North from Manchester Rd. for 0.8 miles to Clayton Rd.  Turn RIGHT onto Clayton Rd. for 1.1 miles.  Turn Right onto Kehrs Mill Rd. to the school on the right


Religious Affiliation

Linda Vista welcomes students of all denominations and faiths. It is a Catholic school not associated with any specific parish.  Linda Vista is served by the Benedictine Monks of Saint Louis Abbey as Chaplains,

Instruction in the Catholic faith is part of the curriculum.  Second grade students make their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.  Non-catholic students may prepare for the Sacraments with their class, but do not participate in the actual Sacraments.

Linda Vista's 25 teachers and teaching assistants are dedicated professionals, who complement our mission of developing and nurturing the whole child.  All hold Bachelors Degrees, and all of the Lead Teachers in the Montessori Pre-Kindergartne are Montessori certified.  Approximately 45% of school faculty hold advanced degrees.  In addition to our home room teachers, we employ a part-time Learning Consultant who provides different strategies for homeroom teachers and works within the classrooms.
